Christie Dooley, M.A., LMFT
Christie began working in the field of Substance Abuse and co-occurring disorders in 2015 while in Grad School. Christie became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2021. Christie has a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in psychology. She has worked in both private practice and treatment facility settings offering CBT, DBT, and Psychodynamic approaches to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Christie is also certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) to help clients suffering with PTSD. Christie is passionate about helping individuals, struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders because, “I’ve learned sometimes we must experience discomfort to meet growth. And if me and my team at Forward can provide a safe space that supports personal growth and wellbeing, then it’s my honor to be a part of the journey”.
Mary Duncan, RADT
Program Director
Mary is a passionate advocate for accessible mental health services. She firmly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to enhance their mental well-being. In her role as Program Director, Mary approaches her work with heartfelt compassion. Her extensive knowledge and deep commitment to her clients enable her to treat each case with empathy and dedication. Mary actively cultivates a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals feel safe and valued. She listens attentively to their unique needs, ensuring they are heard and addressed. Under her leadership, she hopes to see the program grow, making a significant impact in the community and empowering individuals to lead healthier, happier lives.

Joseph Pool
Admissions and Outreach Manager
Joseph holds an Associate of Science in Administration of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a minor in Drug and Alcohol Studies from California State University, Fresno. With a profound passion for mental health and addiction, Joseph has dedicated the past six years to case management, social services, and program development within local hospitals. Driven by a commitment to ensuring that clients receive the best possible care and tailored to each individual and give everyone we encounter a chance at recovery. He believes that "the most effective way to support those struggling with addiction is to meet them where they are, offer unwavering support, and provide a full range of options for recovery." His work with the Central Valley Opioid Safety Coalition includes training over 70 agencies in fentanyl and naloxone education and creating free Narcan distribution programs, reflecting his unwavering dedication to both reducing stigma and improving the lives of each individual he comes in contact with.
